how to fix door light in 2010 Hyundai Sonata

Asked by Shreyash Apr 06, 2014 at 03:56 PM about the 2010 Hyundai Sonata GLS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have 2010 Hyundai Sonata. Recently my door lights came on, even though my doors
would be shut . I suppose its my rear right passenger door sensor because i cant feel
proper push of the switch. also now my car alarm goes on anytime. even when after it
is parked for few hours. My neighbors have started to complain because of annoying
alarm. is there any way to fix this issue or prevent the alarm to go off .

Thanks

Might try spraying door switch with some wd 40. Sometimes this will fix the issues you are having. The dome light and the alarm issue can both be caused by a sticking door ajar switch.
