Would going fast thru a puddle make my radio, dash and ac got out?

Asked by FLMustang Aug 28, 2017 at 03:12 PM about the 2007 Ford Mustang V6 Convertible RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

This morning I went faster than I wanted to thru a puddle spraying water under the car pretty good.  Shortly after the radio/nav system went blank.  Then a short time after the dash blacked out and the AC started blowing warm air. I did get it home but now it won't start - just goes click click click.  I'm thinking it's a water issue....got in or on something.  Since the car still ran I don't believe it could be a belt.  Any ideas?

Thanks Tom! I got it dried out and it started this morning without any issues. However, about 1/2 mile down the road the radio blanked out and the dash went dark, AC blew hot air. It's now in the hands of the Ford garage to find the exact issue. Thanks for you help! I don't think it can be the main computer as it would not have worked at all...I'm thinking more of a wire being bad or even a ground?
