Misaligned Mazda Tribute window fix?

Asked by Eri50 Feb 24, 2018 at 12:28 PM about the 2002 Mazda Tribute ES V6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Had a broken front window, cleaned out all the glass, and replaced it with a new
front passenger window.

The regulator works fine, but the window it 1/4 of an inch short of full closing
into the upper track of the door frame.

How can I align it, so as to get a sealed fit when rolling the window all the way
up?

The window seems to be installed correctly, the regulator has no issues rolling it up or down, it doesn't catch on anything. Smoothly glides, and fits into the rest of the track perfectly, just not the upper portion. It's just a fraction of an inch from fully closing.

I went around the entire inside of the weather guard with a flat head and got everything out. It's a matter of the window being too short to reach the track up top. Was wondering it there is a way to adjust the regulator to raise the window a small amount.
