RAV4 hybrid battery problems

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Vehicle failed unexpectedly. Locked in Park. Towed to dealer. Sat in lot for 72
hrs at -35C. Dealer reports battery dead; not able to recharge, no batteries
available. Now out of commission for a week. Any similar experiences? If so
Any response from Toyota ?

That type of cold is destructive. Forget all the eco hype you have been told as they always leave out reality.

Life goes on at -35C. My Honda Ridgeline works just fine. This looks like a real battery issue for Toyota which they are choosing to ignore. They sell lots of cars into a market that regularly sees these conditions.
