98 Lincoln Continental will not start

Asked by 98Lincoln Feb 15, 2014 at 11:25 AM about the 1998 Lincoln Continental FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 98 Lincoln Continental that sat for 4 months because I did not start it up. I got a
new battery and when I tried to start it up. I heard air coming from the passenger front of
the vehicle. It stopped after I tried to start it up a few times but it is still choking. What
could the problem be?

Take the air filter top off and spray a little starting fluid in it and see if it starts for a few seconds.
