2002 Lincoln Continental Transmission

Question type: General

We need to replace our transmission and we have a floor console shifter.  I
have found some used transmissions but they say Column Shifter Only.  Can
we adapt a "Column Shifter" transmission to use in our "Console Shifter" car
with the existing parts now in our car?

I would think the linkages go to the same place but I can't say for sure ,, a selector on the side of the tranny , save all your hardware . I wouldn't go with used , to go through the installation and then have the used one go bad just sucks
