How do you test the operation of the coolant fan on a 2003 Lincoln LS V6. I have the fan out of the vehicle.

hot wire the + & - from a batt, , the blades can get razor sharp be careful

There are two plugs with two prongs each. The normal + - test method does not work or the or the fan is DOA.

I would think they run on the full 12 volts , if you powered them up and they didn't work , then I'd say they're toast , as long as you got the polarity right and provided the ground , , you knows with these newer cars

I am replacing the motor. I will follow up if it works or doesn't.
