I am deciding on my first car and am mostly choosing among the Chevy
Malibu, Toyota Camry and Honda Accord. Overall, the Malibu is my favorite, in
terms of price, features and style of the car. My only concern is reliability.
I would like the car to last me for a decent amount of time and I am wondering
if anybody could speak to the reliability of the Malibu. Is it wrong to go with
Chevy over Honda or Toyota?
Don't buy a malibu...my 2013 eco malibu has 76k miles and needs new motor....Malibu's are made like shit and do not last
Honda's and Toyota's are better than Chevys.
Honda’s and Toyota’s are great choices but if you wanna go with a Malibu I’d go with a 2004 - 2007 model because not only they’re good reliable cars they’re well rated on the “consumer reviews” cause a lot of the 2004 - 2007 models have also gotten WELL OVER 100000 miles on the original engine / transmission cause the engines on these models do not have any turbo chargers or anything like that that would wear the engine out near as fast otherwise. I read one review where someone got 340,000 miles out there 06 Malibu and was only no longer drivable when it was wrecked and completely totaled. That’s another thing they have good crash test ratings. Mine is a 2006 model with a 201 hp 3.5 liter v6 that so far get about 26 mpg city and about 28 hwy but if you wanna a more fuel efficient 04 -07 Malibu there is the Malibu LS 4 167 hp 4cylinder
