2017 CRV Engine Air Filter housing screw replacement

Asked by GreyFoxTN Aug 24, 2019 at 09:45 PM about the 2017 Honda CR-V EX-L FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi All,

I was changing the Engine Air Filter (I believe that is what it is called) and
broke 1 of the 4 screws when tightening the housing.  I wanted to know if this
is something I can replace on my own and if so if you all would happen to
know the part number and/or possible how to accomplish this.

My secondary question is the other 3 are on firmly and the housing overall
feels very secure, though I am unsure if this is something that is a immediate
thing that I need to fix or can wait a bit until I have the right parts to swap it
out on my own.

I will upload some photos soon so you all can check out the screw.  Any help
with this would be greatly appreciated.

if the filter is sealed by the gasket on the housing, you will be fine. On how new your CR-V is, stop into your Honda dealer parts department. You might be able to replace that one part that broke off, though my guess is you will be replacing the air filter housing assembly. Maybe look online or some auto recyclers for a used assembly.
