Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an Opel Corsa Lite that doesn't go into gear when driving. I have to push
the gears really hard for them to go in. Gear 1 doesn't go in at all so I result to
starting off in gear two. I had a new clutch plate put in about 7/8 months ago.
Now I'm not sure what the problem is. Please assist.

1.Check the clush master cylinder if its a hydraulic one it will need to be replaced. 2. The slave cylinder inside the gearbox might be gone. 3. The releaser bearing mught alsi be gone and lastly it could be the clush. U can start by getting a mechanic to adjust the gear links first which is the cheaper and easier option and if the ptoblem persists then check the above mentioned .

I agree on that could be one of two things gear selection out of settings on gear shaft or gearbox may be at fault here.

I realized what the problem was. One of the nuts holding in the clutch cable had come off and the threads on the clutch cable are worn out.
