95 jeep Cherokee sport 4.0 No spark

Asked by Vadur Jul 29, 2017 at 04:15 AM about the 1995 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4-Door 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Jeep suddenly started to lunge while driving at
around 55mph. It rapidly got worse so I took it
home parked it and now it will not start. I replaced
the distributor cap, rotor, and coil also the crank
sensor. Each time I have checked for spark and
there is none but there is fuel. Also not sure if it's
related but my power windows stopped working all
other electrical seems to be working fine fine.
What other possibility is could this be? I have
already checked the normal easy stuff fuses, wires,
Etc. Any help would be appreciated I'm running out
of options.

I have replaced the PCM as well and still no spark. I am getting desperate if anyone has an idea of what the problem could be please let me know what I can try next.

Have you checked or replaced the throttle position sensor recently? Also check your idle air control valve and clean or replace if necessary. Go and check all your grounds positive and negative and clean if necessary, don't know what kind of cap, rotor, plugs, or wires etc your using but double check all parts with images and diagrams of OEM parts to make sure they are doing the job right. When you replaced your PCM was it re manufactured and programmed specifically for your model and year of Jeep? Go champion on the spark plugs if your not. https://www.autoblog.com/2016/01/08/sym ptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-idle-control-valve/
