I have 01 Wrangler Sport, the battery is dead, it's been sitting for a while, the alarm won't shut off, I don't have an original key or key fob. How do I disable the security system?

My jeep has been sitting a while, the battery went dead, I tried to hook up the battery charger and of course it set off the security system.  I unhooked the battery to charge it, but I still have the same problem, I can't shut the system off.  The only Jeep key I had, with the key fob for the remote start I lost about 5 years ago...  How do I disable the security system?

First thing ,does the key you have ,have numbers on it?

P1795 but these are the spare keys I had made from the spare key from Lowes or Home Depot. When I bought the Jeep in '04 I had just the one "Jeep" black key.

When the battery died it lost the key code,try this,remove the key from jeep,remove positive cable agian for about ten minutes,then place key in jeep,replace cable,the turn key off then on,then try to crank and see if it will reset the antitheft.

Happened to me: Remove key, replace key, turn key and let it DING OUT (Let it sop dining - at least 5 OR 6). Turn engine over and it should stay running. Worked for me and it is now my new security combo.
