Does a 2001 jeep Cherokee that is 2wd out of
factory have a transfer case?

Yes I believe the same as you, however my dad was going on about it saying it did for some reason talking about a sensor defect involving the gear select lever and the vehicle was not present to actually look at it so I thought id ask anyway. Thank you for your response
