Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My computer is dead in my jeep liberty. I want to
know if I find a ecm with the exact same part
numbers if I can plug it in a drive. I've heard yes
and no. Need to know for sure because a new one
from the dealer is 1040 dollars. And from napa its
450 but is need to take it to the dealer to get
flashed. The dealer told me they cant re flash or re
program computers

Get one from a salvage yard, used, ebay with same numbers. it is plug in and go. No programimg or flashing needed. It is rare for this part to fail.
