2008 Yukon Denali Issues

Asked by YukonDenaliProblems Jun 18, 2019 at 06:55 AM about the 2008 GMC Yukon Denali AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi! I have a 2008 Yukon Denali that has been
having what seems to be an electrical issue for the
past 4 months. We have check all wiring, replaced
the BCM, positive and negative cables, starter. All
gauges will flip flop and sometimes it won’t start.
Engine light is on as well as traction control etc.
Please help! We have had multiple mechanics look
at it and work on it with no success. Some think
they have it fixed then it happens again only after a
few drives. Thanks!

Do you have any codes that are set after it’s started? Major ground located just under the driver on the cab mount has known to give issues but not likely your issue, sounds more like sloppy initiation or security problems. Try designating one key and one key only and see if the problem persists. The key is programmed to the vehicle and has a specific resistance to allow you and not some joe blow to start it.
