Standard is the 20 inch tire. Is there any real benefit for going to 21 inch tires on the Lincoln MKX?

Nope, it is a looks thing. Also larger wheels with thinner tires will ride slightly rougher.

None at all. In fact you will make the ride worse and the braking worse too.

21 inches are a lot nicer then 20 inch. Also with taller wheels you’re going to get better gas mileage because there’s less rotations needed in a mile!
