2017 F-150 manual door locks

I have a 2017 Ford F-150 XL with manual door
locks. Lately when it’s cold (below 30 degrees
mostly) the door lock mechanism will only come
up partway when you turn the key in the door, and
fall back down. Sometimes it will open but only
after many tries and it’s still not up all the way. Any
explanation to what is happening?

Should be covered under warranty. But, sounds like ice buildup from water or condensation limiting the movement of the lock mechanism.
