Question type: Maintenance & Repair

What could cause a Ford F-150 to suddenly lose all power and be like a
sitting duck unable to turn anything on or have any lights or indicators shown
either before or after while driving?

Thank you the alternator is good. I’ll see about those other two. So it would turn off engine and all electric?

Fuel pump fuse relay. #27 I believe. Defect in the fuse box causes it to melt and when it does it degrades signal to the So the PCM thinks the vehicle has been in a crash so it cuts all power to prevent fire. Ford has a relay relocation kit they should install for free. TSB- 15-0137 for the uel pump fuse. The kit is ford part EL3Z-14293-A Kit-Terminal

My 2017 F 150 died while driving tonight. Had radio & 4-ways but wouldn’t turn on. Not one sound. Called dealer; they got me roadside assistance & had it towed. Once it was parked at dealer it started! I left it for them to look over. Any idea what happened?

Our F150 King Ranch did the same thing, 2 Sundays in a row. Had to have it towed 2x. Dealer claims they don't know what the problem is because after a while, it starts back up again. Last weekend we were stranded for 5 hours, and a bit over an hour this past weekend.

My answer is mr Ford needs to put his family in my truck and go for a ride. He won’t and I don’t blame he for not doing that. What I do blame him for is to continue to sell this junk. Stop selling these truck. Yea rite he don’t care who he kills in these vehicles are not safe mrford

I have a 2019 Ford F150, on Tuesday, April 28, 2021 my engine shut off while driving for the fifth time. Dropped it off at the dealer yesterday and the lady told me she will check the codes, she said if they don’t get any codes there is nothing they can do to which I asked what has to happen do I need to be killed before you guys do something about this problem, her reply is there’s nothing we can do if we don’t get a code.

I have the same issue, 2019 5.0 shut down twice while driving, no codes. Ford won't do anything, after months of trying, still under warranty. will try the full pump fuze.
