How exactly does the sale process work?

When does the buyer recieves the car?
When does the seller recieves the money?
I have been in situations where the buyer
recieved the car and complained about
nothingness and I did not get paid and
getting the car back was next to
impossible. How does CarGurus protect
the buyer and the seller with little or no
stress??
