Starting car without transmission?

I was given a 1994 Isuzu Trooper
and was told I can see if the car
starts even if the transmission is
out of the car. Is this true?

Technically true, but I'd check the flywheel to make sure everything is secure and that there isn't a clutch or a torque converter left unsecured.

IF YOU TRY TO START THE ENGINE. FASTEN THE ENGINE DOWN THE TORQUE WILL MOVE THE ENGINE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO START THE ENGINE. MAYBE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE OR THE ENGINE BAY.
