Transmission fit

Can I put a 4x4 transmission in my 2 wheel drive truck? IF so, what
modification is necessary?

It would be better to find the correct type transmission. You may be able to change the tail cone and tail shaft and some other parts. Generally the transfer case bolts to the trans. Changing the parts from one trans to another can be difficult if you are not familiar with transmissions. And automatic vs. manual transmissions are different.

speaking from a transmission builder point of view......I would say unless you have lots of special tools and the know how. its not a good idea
