Buying a ticket

I'm trying to purchase a Porsche macan from
a private seller on car gurus.He wants me to
"buy a ticket " so he'll hold the car.What does
this mean.

Unless you give them a deposit face to face at their home this may be a scam. I would not give them a dime without a copy of their drivers license, home address etc.
