Asked by Mopar8499 May 08, 2018 at 02:07 PM about the 1982 Dodge RAM 250 LB RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 82 d250 has been acting like it's out of time I
replaced the scs for a non lean burn and put a
distributor with a vac advance, new spark
computer,  and wires and plugs ran great for a
month now any time im in D, 2, or 1st it spits and
sputters horribly but when put in park or N it idiles
how it normally should. Iv checked my wires the
vac lines and am stuck

1 Answer

Check that the distributor is clamped tight since yo replaced it. Next thing would be to check TDC of cylinders to see if the timing chain has jumped a tooth.
