Hi I have a 1995 chevy truck starts up
perfect. And idles like normal but when I
turn the headlights on it's start to idle
down a little. But when you put it in gear
reverse through D 3 2 1 when puting in
some gas it seems like it something is
clogged. Pushing the gas peddle down to
the metal it runs good but in fast speed. I
have change fuel filter, cap and rotor.
Sparks and wire looks good, pcv. I need
help in thinking if it the egr or Iac please
need help

Some things to check, first make sure the charging system is working properly, and have the battery checked. Next would be to look at the fuel injectors in the TBI. When idling they should be spraying out a nice cone shape mist, no dripping at all. Another is you may want to take the TBI off and clean the Idle Air Control port by removing the IAC and cleaning the whole TBI. The IAC port is a major vacuum port so care needs to be taken when messing with the IAC itself, getting it installed so it don't leak. Also it may be the TBI base gasket is bad so look at that closely also. The EGR system is a possibility also, but check it out that it is all hooked up correctly for the time being.
