97 1500 cranks but will not start

Everyone has their ideas why the truck will crank
but not start mine turned out to be simply the
ground wire from the battery to the fender. It was
loose I tightened it and the truck started right up.

Because you say it cranks, so we assume it turns over with the starter. Not starting is a whole other issue. So we give you suggestions on what to look for but in reality the engine does run. All in the terminology.
