What engine could a I put in a 84 Silverado?

I'm looking at getting a restored 1984 cheavy Silverado, but
it needs a new engin. I love cheavys but it would be my 1st
project car .  Dose any one have any suggestions about
what engin I could drop in it for a reasonable price. It's got
a k20 in it Right now. Could I drop another k20 in it ?

Hes told me a k20 3/4 ton... please excuse my ignorance. I'm not very educated in a lot of this .

You have a 3/4 ton truck that came with several optional engines. It could be a small block engine or a big block 454. You need to look under the hood.
