parked car, will not start, headlights work, jumped battery, no ,no nothing

The connection to Ground is corroded...be sure this one gets wirebrushed down to shiny, and the one going to the motor block as well....all need to pull at least 300 CCA to get your motor turning....battery needs to be younger than five else the alternator will give us problems~

Roy, There is no clicking of starter at all, nothing. You still think battery, clean it first thing in a.m. Thanx R

Yeah, put it on the ole schumbacher (or whichever charger is handy) overnight...we can look at the amps draw...should be only leakage draw (1-2) amps...if that battery is newer than five will charge easily...if old will not take the charge....gettin' 'er clean really ain't nothing...undoing a bolt and wirebrush....easy cheezy~

the reason your jump may have failed from the parasitic draw of your crippled battery~....see if your alternator and charging system were tip-top that would have fired right up...with having your old battery is like trying to take grandpa through the woods with his cane and crippled body~ your battery is that old guy who can't hack it anymore~

or could be the 120a fuse on fusible link attached to positive battery terminal
