Should I buy this G35 with 177k?

Asked by Kelty Sep 20, 2020 at 02:38 AM about the 2004 INFINITI G35 Coupe RWD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I have been looking for my first car for a while and I found a G35 with 177k
miles on it for $2200 firm. It has some issues like a broken rear shock and
part of the rear is beginning to rust, but I would want to install coilovers
anyways. It has no electrical issues and has had 2 owners. My question is
around how many more miles I would be able to get out of it, and if $2200 is
too much for a worn out g35. This is my first post so if I forgot something let
me know.

The price is comparable to an older G35 with high miles. For how many more miles you can drive it? Take a guess. There is no magic number. At 177K, anything can fail. It all comes down to your level of risk. For $2200 and it lasts you a year , your on the plus side.

Kbb.com says the vehicle is worth about $4,685 in good condition so the price is right. Sounds like the seller has adjusted the price down to account for the needed repairs. Two owners in 16 years isn't bad at all either. I would look at a vehicle history report such as Carfax just to be sure it wasn't recently involved in an accident and put back together to sell . Otherwise it sounds like a good first car to me! Good luck with it!! Hope that helps! Jim
