Well my Santa fe sport 2.0t just started acting a slap fool.
Reduced engine power an threw up a code of running lean
bank one an a second code of low fuel pressure. So I
looked around asked questions used all kinds of resources.
It pointed to replacing the hi flow fuel pump so I replaced it
450 bucks later. Well got it on ran good then drove to town
it started missing when parked. Then at red lights it was
missing an surging but never threw a code. So got it home
checked every thing I knew with no luck. So I said ima see
what happens when I unplug the fuel pressure switch on
the fuel pump to see what it would do unplugged .Well it
smoothed out took all the miss out an surging out of the
car but threw the same codes as before. So I cleared the
codes. Them put new spark plugs in it an nothing still
missing. The car has all recalls done it had a new motor in
it a week be for Christmas last year. We have only had the
car a year. Now I'm out of ideas at this time it is show no
codes an still missing any ideas

Having same issues and same codes, high pressure pump seems ok, replaced fuel pressure sensor and had it at the dealer, they don't know what is going on. Any solution to your problem? Dealer suggested wiring..

I have had no luck yet at all. I had it at the place that sold me the car. They told me I may need my ecm flashed just waiting to go have that done.
I was at the dealer today to have the ecm flashed. They told me I have the latest software and its not going to fix my problem. Idk what to do now.

Really so ecm flash didn't work. I have the newest update as well. So did they give u any advice on what to do next?
They wanted to trace the wiring and check for shorts. They didn't really know where to start and they wanted 90 an hour so I picked it up and brought it home. I did Some self diagnosis and think I've found the solution. I was getting bank one sensor one stuck lean. And low fuel pressure. While thinking a bad pump or shitty fuel pressure was the reason for the sensor stuck lean, I overlooked the fact that the oxygen sensor was stuck leanbecause it in fact was stuck lean. Ii got the vehicle to operating temp, unplugged the upstream sensor. Then cleared my codes with the scanner and drove it for 25 miles and it ran perfect. Once you leave it cool down and restart it, you get an engine light for the sensor being unplugged. I replaced upstream sensor last night and so far have 60 plus miles with no light and runs fine. 24mpg.

Well on top of I'll my other problems. Mine is now having starting problems. When you start it it just spend over then it estate it's a very ruff start spitting an sputtering then will die. But I'm bout ready to take this car back to them an tell them shove it where the sun don't shine this p.o.s

Juzt to let all you Hyundai Santa Fe owners that my. Husband is a. Mechanic and he has been repairing a 2013 for 6 months now. The owner who owns his used car dealership and bought the car in an auction has not paid my husband for the first repair new the Santa Fe had problems and no original key only a spare. Til this day the Santa Fe will not run for more than 20 mph then turns off. The Santa fe is a piece o.s. We ourselves have a 2003 SANTA Fe. And it sounds like a motorcycle, has fuel pump problem with the catalytic converter. Don't buy one of these
