I've been reading manual - 3x's on tailgate section. Still can't find inside latch. 2 diagrams in manual not helpful in locating latch.

Well thanks for your helpful insight "BOB" WHAT A GOOF. If you don't freakin know. Don't bother. I'm having the same problem and can't find a switch to open the tailgate.

Mark obviously doesn't own the car I have looked through the manual and can't find the answer. Maybe you cant open in from inside.

2007 having the same problem opening the tail gate or truck....I have read the book...stood behind the car for 20 minutes nothing is happening. I need help right now

Bob, that video is for when your car is sinking in a river and you need to climb out of the trunk. Lol. The trunk release button is overhead by the buttons for the lights and sunroof.

The button is toward the bottom inside of the lift gate in the center. Tiny hatch and inside is a lever.
