Why does check engine light come on when i turn on ac

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When ever i turn on my ac the check engine light
comes on.  After turning ac off the check engine
light goes off after a day or so.  Went to auto zone
and they said it was throwing a fill antifreeze code.  
Antifreeze is full.
