Asked by Myisha Apr 22, 2017 at 10:58 AM about the 2002 INFINITI I35 Luxury FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So for the past 2 days while driving my 2002 I35
Infiniti it cuts off in the middle of traffic. My
boyfriend has replaced 2 of the tcs sensors and it
still cuts off. I turn the car all the way off and the
turn it back on. Sometimes it takes 2-3 tries before
it starts up again. Idk what can be the problem.

When my car cuts off it has the TCS, and check engine light on. It's crazy because it's still power it just cuts off.

i just went through this same thing. it's the camshaft sensors, replace both of them. courtesy nissan is where i got them. they are oem, don't buy aftermarket ones. it will cost 72 dollars and your boyfriend should be able to replace them. go to autozone or somewhere they can run a diagnostic check, if the codes are P0340 or P0345 this will fix your car

i had same/similar problems and it was a throttle position sensor, problem went away after replacement, also possible that the mass air flow sensor is bad, have the codes read to see where it leads and replace those sensors with OEM parts is a good start.
