how hard should my radiator hoses be to be considered normal?

Okay so both the upper and lower radiator hoses feel somewhat hard after a
drive, now I have searched the Internet extensively about this matter and
explored a range of explanations including a blown head gasket or trapped air
pockets, but this is not what am looking for, I wanna know how much
hardness is normal? am I supposed to squeeze it all the way?

some radiator hoses have a spring inside of them to prevent it from collapsing. If there is extensive presser in the upper hose at normal operating temps, I would replace the thermostat. Or run it without to see if the problem is still there. If the thermostat isn't opening the water will not flow properly and pressure will build. However the car would also do a bit of overheating On a long drive. I don't have enough Info to diagnose any more than that sorry, hope this info is helpfull for you. Good Luck

If the hoses on your car have not been changed before, the rubber will be getting hard due to age so change them before they blow.
