2016 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL Leak

Asked by Guru9BBK1J Jun 15, 2021 at 08:32 AM about the 2016 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Reading all of the questions about the rain water
leaks, has anybody found a viable solution since
the dealership and Nissan Corp is not really doing
anything. This car only had 17,000 miles on it when
purchased and only had it now a little over a year. I
notice that leak is coming from by the glove
department side. The rain was so heavy it started to
lead at the top seam by the passenger side door.
Nissan Corp says get a diagnostic test then come
back to them. Is it really worth it? Has anyone done
this and Nissan Corp done anything? Can this
firewall problem be fixed by mechanic? I feel lost
with this situation. I’m surprise that there had not
been any recalls for this problem. Thank You

Possible leaking windshield seal. I would not expect warranty coverage for a 6 year old car but since they said to have it tested you should take it to a shop and get a diagnosis and then make a claim.
