good question- WHY indeed! Look for leaks- have a mechanic do a compression test- it is a machine, and machines get old- they are not magic beings who live forever though most people believe that- just like they think that THEY will live forever-

You should be using a 0w-30 oil and changing it every 5,000 miles. The turbo could be leaking by now
