What could be wrong with my car ?

Asked by GuruD7H2C Sep 26, 2017 at 04:43 PM about the 1999 Honda Accord EX V6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car is pulling/jerking bad. My throttle
hand moves from the 3 to the 4 back to the
2. When I press the gas it stalls and takes
off slow sometimes. I can be going 50mph
and the car will jerk and slow down in the
middle of the road. I can be pressing the gas
but it won't go then finally it will take off.

Hondas are extremely sensitive to their oxygen sensors. I had a civic that would not start due to a bad upstream sensor. I am having a hard time with that because you should have a check engine light if the sensor or wiring was bad. Thinking outside the box: is your bulb blown on your dash in regards to the CEL? Have you put a code reader on it anyway to see if there are any stored, pending or historical codes? It might reveal something?

My maintenance required light just came on tonight. My dash board lights isn't on either, I thought it was a fuse. I am going to get a code done

Maintenance required is a 5K interval light that lets you know you need an oil change or any other service.
