cant tell from what you wrote if its starter/battery issues or fuel issues??? fuel filter new ?

It sounds like we need more details. What is the age and mileage on this car? If the battery is over 4 years old may be a battery. It could also be the battery cables / connectors to the battery need to be cleaned and serviced. If the battery is good and the cables are good then you move on to the starter and or alternator. A ASE mechanic should be able to trouble shot that for under $100 and get the correct answer. If your car has not had proper service you may also need the fuel filter changed (it means drop[ping the fuel tank) and the plug wires changed / upgraded to silicone ones. If the spark plugs have never been changed those will need attention also.
