2001 Honda Accord, Won't Start, Won't Click, Dash Won't Turn On,
So, with the quarantine happening, my partner and I only used one of our cars
and neglected the other. We hadn't driven the car for a month. So, when I tried
to turn it on, it was obviously dead. Unfortunately, nothing turns on. The dash
stays off, emergency lights don't work, and obviously it won't crank.
I tried jumpstarting it with our other car or with a battery pack. I would love to
know if anyone has gone through this? And what solutions they found? Thank
you so much!
There are systems in cars that run when the engine is off, and sitting unrun for a month can deplete a battery. If the battery is damaged, then it won't take a charge and it can hinder any attempt to jumpstart. Best to replace the battery.
