have a 2001 ford c class motor home v10 motor. new starter, battery. it will spin but will not go ijn to turn fly whell. any aswers what i need to try next?

have 2001 ford class c motor home with v10 motor. changed starter and
battery. the starter spins but will not engage  the flywheel. What to check next?

Pull the starter back off. Have it tested for proper bendix function. Your starter could have been made on a monday or Friday...lol. if it is indeed functioning properly check your flywheel for missing or worn teeth.

flywheel looks great, starter checked ok. battery is new and so is starter. this thang has beeen in storage for over a year. could it have lost its codes?
