P1151 and p1131

Asked by GuruTBH96 Jul 12, 2018 at 01:32 AM about the 2001 Ford Taurus LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My taurus has to exhust leaks or vacuum leaks do
to my knowledge ( covered that motor in starter
fluid). I've changed the o2 senser, plugs, and the
cats and I'm still having those two codes p1131
and p1151

Bad or dirty MAF, or a big 'ol vacuum leak, or the EGR. A shop can test the EGR, that can be easier than pulling it all apart (it can also be a vacuum leak source). These two codes are really common on Taurus', you may want to look at the topics on it at Taurusclub.com or Taurusowners.com
