Asked by Christopher Mar 05, 2019 at 12:48 PM about the 2000 Honda Civic Coupe EX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just rebuilt the entire back end
suspension of my 5-speed Honda
Civic EX in my garage, I my struts
haven’t broken in yet. But when they
do, will I need a 2nd alignment? Do
struts effect the wheel alignment? (It
has rear drum brakes and trailing
arms)

The struts are just shock absorbers. The springs affect the ride height. You should not need a 2nd alignment.
