abs, traction lights go on and off

help!  no one can figure out why my traction control lights and the abs lights go
on, stay on for awhile, then the next day they are off.

Probably something is going on with the computer.....I would not wait another minute...take it directly to the dealership... otherwise you may run the risk of having a serious accident..... when the ABS light is on you don't have anti lock brakes. And ..no traction control is not good. You don't want to endanger yourself or others.

Since you mentioned "lights" plural - look up the specific combination of lights in the owner's manual. There is an exhaustive list and many different combinations are listed.
