When were indicators moved to the bumpers on the VW Beetle?

Asked by Michael Sep 25, 2020 at 03:02 PM about the 1975 Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet

Question type: General

I read on the Wikipedia that they moved the turn indicators from the fender to
the front bumper in '75, but the one I have is supposedly a '75 but the
indicators are on the fenders. I've seen pictures of a 1976 and a '77 and
they're both on the fender.

For VW minutiae I would post this question on a Bug forum.

Okay. Also is this not a bug forum? I marked the model as a VW Beetle.

Look for a site that is dedicated to all VW's. The people that are members will likely have your answer. This site has a much smaller number of VW enthusiats

Oh he meant *strictly* bugs. Fair enough, thank you!

I have not seen any bug aficionados on this site. A dedicated site for hard core bug fans is what you need.
