2007 Chevy Avalanche 5.3L Flex Fuel

Asked by Robert Jul 17, 2020 at 11:06 PM about the 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche LTZ 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When truck sits for a day, 1st attempt to start the engine barely turns over
then makes that dead battery clicking noise and stops.  Turn key to off
position and then try again, engine turns over as normaly would and starts
right up.  Battery has been replaced twice in past month.  Everything from
firewall to front bumper has been replaced with OEM parts including engine.
What causes this and what needs replaced?

I'd try the ignition relay. Maybe it's starting to go bad and giving you fits.
