2007 Avalanche using oil after sensor change

Asked by HunterR44 Aug 18, 2019 at 06:25 PM about the 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche LTZ 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Two weeks ago I had the oil pressure
sensor changed.  This past week
message center says I’m a quart low-
which is normal for my truck in
between changes; but I ended up
adding two quarts Friday as it was
barely showing on stick.  Just drove
800 miles this weekend and it’s
saying add a quart again and again
when checking it barely showing on
stick.  Pressure has been normal
since changing sensor. Any ideas?
Thanks

Unless the sensor threads are leaking oil there is no relationship.
