misplaced fob, may be in trunk. Will the trunk lock with it in it?

I misplaced my fob!  I think it may have fallen in the trunk. I hear a high pitched
sound when I close the trunk but it stopped after 2 days.  Wondering if it is in
the trunk and battery dead.  Is there a way to make the fob beat to locate it.  I
cannot find it. I has to have dropped out of my hand or pocket?

Trunk will still lock if it's inside. Ur best bet is to climb in the trunk through the rear seat and unlock it or grab the fob if u can see it
