Make a simple draw tester.take a 9004 or similar headlamp bulb attach 2 wires to pins.now disconnect negitive battery cable now attach one wire to battery negitive post and the other to cable. If you have a draw light will illuminate bright.now one bye one remove fuses one bye one (putting back each time) untill light goes out or dims substantially.now you have located circuit depending on fuse .now with fuse reinstalled for that circuit disconnect circuit protected components one at time till light goes out and you have found your culprit.ps check glove box light staying on seen this several times in past.

Does it go dead driving or sitting? If it goes dead while driving you have a charging system problem. There are several fuse links one is inhe battery wire and the other is in the regulator plug in wiring, check these by trying to pull them apart f it comes apart it's bad. Are you sure the belts are not slipping do this after starting the vehicle with a low battery rev the enginea few times then shut it off and carefully feel the pulley if it's super hot replace the belts. You may alsohave purchased the wrong amp alternator. How big should it be? As big as you can get, you can't have too much.
