My key fob unlocks all the doors and this is a safety concern. How do I change it?

Asked by GuruYP4B Mar 29, 2017 at 06:32 PM about the 2016 Ford Explorer Platinum 4WD

Question type: General

The key fob opens all the doors in my Ford Explorer, which is a safety concern.  Would like to have the key fob open only the driver's side then the rest of the doors if needed.

I used to have a Navigator which opened the driver's side with one click then the rest of the doors with a second click.  Thank you!

Try the owners book in the glove box. My son had the same car and I believe we reprogrammed the key fob as detailed in the owner's manual.
