There are three types of oil for today’s engines, the old dinosaur oil or conventional as it called, then there is the synthetic blend and that is both synthetic and conventional blended together and finally there is full synthetic and it is the highest priced of the three. So from what I can find Hyundai really doesn’t say much about type of oil just viscosity, but if you have been using conventional then just stick with it, your engine is use too it. But if you ever do any major engine work with all new seals then you can switch to full synthetic if you want to go the extra expense.

Well, i got the car like two months ago.. so im not sure about the oil or viscosity.

The viscosity is usually on the oil cap, most likely a 5W30. If your really still in a quandary about it you can always call a Hyundai dealerships service department. Hopefully you did get an owners manual with it.

DUDE AT THIS POINT ANY OIL THESE DAYS. USE A SYNTHETIC BLEND. OIL NOW AND DAYS IS SO ADVANCED WITH ALL THE ADITIVES THAT ARE PUT IN IT.
