2015 Honda CRV Key Fob Won't Work After Replacing the CRV

The dashboard on my 2015 Honda CRV was telling
me that my key fob battery was low. So I replaced
the 3V button battery with a brand new one and
now my fob doesn't work. Do I need to reprogram
it, and if so, can I do that myself?

I called the Honda dealership. I learned that not all 3V button batteries are the same. It requires a CR2032, which is not what I had used. So I bought the correct battery today and my key fob now works, no reprogramming required.
